Show that you have valuable cargo...
School signs help to increase safety for children in traffic and must be used by law for school transport by bus or taxi. Pointguard introduced the first roof-mounted, illuminated school sign 50 years ago. Since then, we have been the market leader for this product, and continuous product development has resulted in our fifth-generation school sign, which is both more attractive and more functional than ever. With our various mounts, you can attach and detach the sign as needed and easily combine it with other types of roof signs. As accessories, we offer various types of control systems for easy and flexible installation.

New model 525
School sign 525 is a completely redesigned, fifth-generation school sign from Pointguard. It has been redesigned and reengineered from the ground up to be robust and reliable, while also complying with all regulations and looking stylish. Like the previous model, the school sign uses energy-efficient yet bright LED lighting that provides even, attractive illumination of the sign. The sign still has four approved orange LED flashers, but unlike the previous model, the LED flashers are now protected inside the sign, which protects them from the elements and during washing, etc. Just like Pointguard's previous school signs, this model is spring-loaded, which means that it automatically folds down in the wind, thereby minimizing noise and fuel consumption. The sign is compatible with Pointguard's wide range of mounts, enabling neat and easy installation on all conceivable car models and making it possible to combine the school sign with taxi lights and other roof signs.

Improved construction
For maximum reliability...
The 525 school sign is based on a strong aluminum profile with an inner part made of stainless steel and an impact-resistant polycarbonate (PC) cover. This combination provides low weight, high torsional rigidity, and long service life – a clear upgrade from its predecessor, model 411.
The spring-loaded mechanism has also been redesigned. The spring is now only activated when the sign is raised. When the sign is not in use, there is no load on either the spring or the frame, which reduces wear and tear and extends service intervals.

We have placed extra emphasis on serviceability. The outer cover with the schoolchildren symbol slides easily off the frame, giving you quick access to the LED fixtures for the indicators and interior lighting. Since the flashing lights are located inside the cover, they are completely protected from weather, road dirt, and high-pressure washing, while the smooth upper surface allows water and snow to run off while driving.
Finally, we have integrated a new, compact, and waterproof quick connector into one of the side brackets. Next to the connector is the familiar pull knob, which has made a comeback for raising and lowering the sign.
The result is a school sign that is more robust, easier to maintain, and even more reliable than previous generations.
