Privacy Policy

1 Introduction
Pointguard AB, org. no. 556495-5705, respects and protects the privacy of every individual whose personal data we process as part of providing our products and services.
As Pointguard is a B2B company, i.e. we only deal with other companies and do not have private individuals as customers, we handle a limited amount of personal data and we do not handle any sensitive personal data. We do not collect more personal data than we need, we do not use the data for any purpose other than that for which it was collected, and we do not store the data for longer than necessary.

Pointguard takes the necessary measures to secure the data we process/manage and to ensure that unauthorized persons do not gain access to it. Data protection is a priority for Pointguard, and responsibility for data protection issues therefore lies with Pointguard's management.

This privacy policy describes what personal data we collect, how and why we do so, how you can influence it, and how we keep it secure.


2 Parties and responsibility for the processing of your personal data
Pointguard AB, org. no. 556495-5705, Ekeby bruk 2N, 752 63 Uppsala, Sweden, is a manufacturer and retailer of roof signs, smart displays, and other equipment and services for taxis and other commercial vehicles, hereinafter referred to as “Products and Services.”

Pointguard only has corporate customers and is therefore the data controller for the processing of personal data for those who are contact persons at our customer companies. Pointguard is also the data controller for the processing of personal data for contact persons at our suppliers/partners. Some personal data is stored by Pointguard, while in other cases the data is stored in online systems managed by external suppliers who then act as data processors for Pointguard.

3 What personal data does Pointguard register/process and why?

3.1 Why Pointguard collects personal data
Pointguard collects personal data in order to maintain contact with customers, suppliers, and partners so that we can develop, deliver, and market the products and services we sell to our customers.

3.2 Categories of data subjects

The data subjects for whom Pointguard collects personal data belong to one of the following categories:
-Customers
-Suppliers
-Partners
-Potential customers and other interested parties who visit Pointguard's websites and contact us by email or phone.
-Users of Pointguard's cloud system


4 Customers
4.1 Why we collect and store personal data
When a customer company contacts Pointguard to order a product or service from Pointguard, we register the customer's contact details in order to process the order, deliver the product/service, and collect payment for it. In connection with this, we register personal data for the company's contact person.

4.2 This personal data is collected

The personal data we collect in connection with orders to Pointguard is:
-First and last name of the contact person
-Telephone number of the company and, if applicable, the contact person
-Email address of the company or the contact person's email address at the company

In addition, further information about the customer company is collected that is not personal data. In cases where a sole trader's organization number is the same as the entrepreneur's personal identity number, this is registered as the organization number.

4.4 How we ensure that the information is correct
For each new customer order, the order recipient checks that the contact details are correct and updates the information in the business system immediately if necessary. If the customer informs us that the information is incorrect, we will update the information as soon as possible during office hours, Monday to Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.


4.5 How long the data is stored
According to the Accounting Act's rules on archiving, receipts must be stored for 7 years. We therefore store our customers' contact details for 7 years from the date the order was entered into our system, after which the contact person's details are deleted. At the customer's request, we can delete the contact person's personal data from the customer database within that time, but the verification must always be saved, including the information contained therein.


5 Suppliers
5.1 Why we collect and store personal data
When Pointguard orders components, products, or services from one of our suppliers, we register the information necessary to obtain and pay for the goods/services, to communicate with the supplier about them, and the information required to comply with accounting obligations.


5.2 This personal data is collected

Along with the necessary company information, the following personal data is also collected:
-First and last name of the contact person
-Phone number of the company or contact person at the company
-Email address of the company or contact person's email at the company

5.4 How we ensure that the information is correct
For each new order to a supplier, the person at Pointguard who places the order checks that the contact details are correct and updates the information in the business system immediately if necessary. If the supplier informs us that the data is incorrect, we update the data as soon as possible during office hours, Monday to Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.


5.5 How long the data is stored
According to the Accounting Act's rules on archiving, verifications must be stored for 7 years. We therefore store our contact details for suppliers for 7 years from the date our order to the supplier was recorded in our system, after which the contact person's details are deleted. Upon request, we can delete the contact person's personal data from the supplier database earlier, but the verification must always be saved, including the information contained therein.


6 Partners
6.1 Why we collect and store personal data
In our daily operations, we develop and manufacture products/services, and in order to carry out this work, we collaborate with a number of partners. In order to keep in touch with them, we store contact details for one or more contact persons at the company. However, this information is not registered, but stored as unstructured data in, for example, email.

The data is stored for as long as we collaborate with the partner company and as long as the person in question remains our contact person.


7 Potential customers and other interested parties who contact us via email.
7.1 Why we collect and store personal data
We are occasionally contacted by individuals who are interested in receiving more information about Pointguard's products/services. These inquiries are received via email or telephone. The contact details of the individuals in question are then stored so that we can get back to them with product information and, where applicable, pricing information. This data is not registered, but is stored as unstructured data in, for example, email.

The name provided by the person when contacting us.

The contact person's telephone number

Consent (those who use one of our email forms)


7.4 How long the data is stored

As long as the request is deemed commercially relevant, or until the interested party asks us to delete the data.

8 Users in Pointguard's cloud system
8.1 Why we collect and store personal data
Users who use Pointguard's iToplight product together with the iToplight Cloud app are registered as users in Pointguard's cloud platform (itoplight.pointguard.cloud). This is so that system administrators can view statistics for their iToplights, send out updates, etc. The majority of the data in the system is linked to the iToplight device and not to the user. The amount of data registered in connection with the user is as limited as possible.


8.2 This personal data is collected

The user's first and last name
The user's email address
The user's password
The user's phone number


8.3 Legal basis for collecting this data
Agreement approved in connection with the user purchasing an iToplight.


8.4 How long the data is stored
The data is stored for as long as the iToplight Cloud app or cloud system is actively used and thereafter for one year (awaiting the user to start using the system again). The user's personal data can be deleted earlier at the user's request.


9 Who has access to your data?
The personal data collected by Pointguard is used solely by Pointguard and for the purposes described above. We never forward, exchange, or sell your data to third parties for marketing purposes.


10 Your rights
10.1 Right to information
You can request information about the personal data we have stored about you at any time. Contact us by email or phone and we will compile the information and send it to you.


10.2 Right to rectification
We always strive to ensure that the personal data we store and process is accurate and have a number of procedures in place to ensure that this is the case. If, despite this, you discover that our information about you is incorrect, you have the right to request that your personal data be rectified or supplemented.


10.3 Right to erasure/to be forgotten
You have the right to erase your personal data processed by Pointguard at any time, with the exception of contact details included in a transaction that must be saved in order to comply with the Accounting Act.


10.4 Right to lodge a complaint
If you believe that Pointguard has handled your personal data incorrectly, please contact us at info@pointguard.se or 018-512020 and we will resolve the issue. If we are unable to find a solution that you are satisfied with, you also have the option of sending your comments to the Swedish supervisory authority, the The Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection's, via their website: https://www.imy.se/en/.
