Feb 2019 - Cars Taxi purchases smart taxi signs from Pointguard for its taxi fleet in Abu Dhabi

Cars Taxi Services Co. LLC has one of the largest taxi fleets in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) with more than 5,000 cars in total in the UAE and GCC. The company was the first taxi company in Abu Dhabi to start using environmentally friendly hybrid cars and is now also the first to equip its entire taxi fleet in Abu Dhabi with smart iToplight signs from Pointguard.
With iToplight D-500, Cars taxis will be able to display their status in both Arabic and English, as well as their customers' booking numbers. This is all done automatically without any effort on the part of the drivers, thanks to the integration between Pointguard's iToplight and the traffic management system from CERT Telematics.
“Abu Dhabi Airport Taxi and Smarttaxi have already been using our iToplights for many years, and we are now pleased to welcome Cars Taxi as the first regular taxi company to use these smart taxi signs,” said Pointguard CEO Jesper Flygt in a comment.
