Mar 2018 - Pointguard begins delivery of iToplight D-200 to Dubai

Dubai Taxi Corporation (DTC) is a taxi company that understands the value of digital taxi lights and was among the first in the world to begin using digital taxi lights on a large scale. However, after being disappointed with the quality of the digital signs from the previous manufacturer, they turned to Pointguard and the iToplight series.

In 2016 and 2017, DTC conducted a number of long-term tests of Pointguard's iToplights in the demanding Dubai environment, where temperatures can reach up to 50°C and sandstorms occur. In these tests, the iToplight lights proved to meet DTC's high standards, and the company has now ordered a first batch of Pointguard's iToplight D-200 smart taxi lights for its vehicle fleet.

“After having our iToplights in Abu Dhabi for many years, it feels great that we can now also start delivering our smart taxi lights to Dubai, a city that is working hard to become the world's smartest city,” said Pointguard CEO Jesper Flygt in a comment.
