Sweden - 2012-10-16
A report broadcast on SVT on August 14, 2012, stated that the number of taxi robberies in Sweden has decreased significantly since the peak year of 2000. In the report, Thomas Winskog, director of the Swedish Taxi Association, said that the introduction of surveillance cameras (security cameras) is a major and important reason for the decline in robberies. Pointguard began selling its first model of security camera in 2000 and followed this up with the very popular Taxisnap RR 1000.
Pointguard is now the leading supplier of security cameras for taxis in Sweden and has supplied a large number of security cameras to Taxi Stockholm and Taxi Göteborg, among others. Pointguard's system is user-friendly, super compact, and specially developed for professional users who demand quality, reliability, and easy installation.
