As many of you may already know, Pointguard is a natural partner when it comes to developing new products. Our product development process is iterative and includes prototyping using techniques such as SLA, SLS, 3D printing, silicone molds, etc. This allows us and our customers to evaluate and improve products early in the development phase, resulting in shorter lead times and better products.
Pointguard's development lab has now been reinforced with an unusually large 3D printer, the Wanhao Duplicator 5S Steel ExoFrame, which has a build volume of 305 mm x 205 mm x 575 mm and prints at speeds of up to 300 mm/s.
“With the help of the new printer, we will be able to test new ideas immediately and develop our own components, even for larger prototypes,” says Kalle Flygt, head of product development at Pointguard.
