Emirates Transport recently decided to choose Pointguard's iToplight D-500 for its new taxi fleet in Abu Dhabi. The D-500 has already been used on Smarttaxi and Flygtaxi in Abu Dhabi for several years and, after becoming a model for the new regulations, it is now also being rolled out on the regular taxi fleet.
Since February, Cars Taxi in Dubai has been running a “Total Taxi Solution” offered by Pointguard together with three Dutch partner companies (Cabman, TaxiID, and TaxiButler). The solution offers all the latest hardware and software needed to digitize a taxi fleet and operate it as efficiently as possible.
State-owned Mwasalat in Oman is set to introduce a new taxi fleet, and in order to find the best possible taxi system for it, the company recently conducted a major procurement process involving over 20 different taxi solutions. The Total Taxi Solution was able to offer the best and most affordable solution and therefore won the procurement process, despite the very tough competition. The latest taxi technology will therefore soon be delivered to Oman's taxis.
Dubai's largest taxi company (Dubai Taxi) is in the process of integrating Pointguard's smart taxi lights and is currently testing both the iToplight D-100 and D-200 models. "Since we have had a large number of iToplights in use in Abu Dhabi for several years, we are confident that they can withstand the extreme climate even in the long term. It's great that our smart taxi lights are now part of Dubai's Smart City concept," says Pointguard CEO Jesper Flygt in a comment.
